Viewing Article and Content

You may view individual article types by clicking the link under "view information by type" on the left side menu.  The content is listed by most recent submittals.  You may view all content by selecting the "All" link in the same menu area.  The 5 most recent topics will be listed on the front of the home page.

Search Features

Search by keyword:
Type the key word  in the search box and click the "ok" button or press the enter key

Search by phrase: Type the phrase into the search box without quotes or commas, - the phrase "fall protection" (without quotes) will search for 'fall protection' - but will not find 'fall' or 'protection'

Search by multiple keywords or phrases:
Type the phrases or keywords seperated by a comma - example "fall, protection, fall protection" - will search for 'fall', 'protection', and 'fall protection'

Searching for partial matches:
When searching for common terms that may have multiple spellings - such as "place", "places", "placing", and "placed" - using 'place' as your search criteria will retrieve all instance of the word.  Searhing for "places" will not return 'place' as a result.

Registration

Submission of information to the site is open to anyone through a simple and free registration process.  Craft, supervision, management, as well as safety personnel are encouraged to share what they have learned, read, or experienced with others through the site.  Through this sharing of information others may be able to prevent a similar incident in the future.

Email Notifications

When you register you may opt to recieve priority email alerts and our weekly newsletter.  You may remove yourself from this list by clicking the "My Profile" link on the menu.  The administrator will decide which submittals warrant a priority email notification.

Submitting Content

Once you have registered and logged into the site you may submit content using the "Share Information" link or button.  Submitting content is a 3-step process.  Follow the submittal wizard to complete this process.

Inserting and Using Images in your Submittals

Some submittal types will allow images to be inserted.  When available, use the "My Images" button to upload and insert images into your submittal.  All images must be hosted on a web server to show properly.  A free hosting service is available at www.photobucket.com if you prefer an external hosting solution.  To use external images from other websites simply link to the photo.

Submittal Review Process

Submitted information will be evaluated for applicability, clarity of content, accuracy of information, necessity for further review and the urgency for sharing the information.  All submissions will be edited to remove the submitter's name, company, dates, etc.  Private submissions will be edited to remove any location specific data identified in the information.  Public knowledge submissions will be communicated, as applicable, without content editing.  The original submission will be stored in a secure database accessible only to the CS-SHARE Administrator.

Changing Email Address and Email Preferences

After logging in - on the left side there is a menu.  There is a link "My Profile" - click this link and edit your email and email preferences

Changing Passwords

After logging in - on the left side there is a menu.  There is a link "Change Password" - click this link and change your password.
